Iranian women’s rights activist

Azam Jangravi is an Iranian women’s rights activist. She graduated in computer engineering from the University of Tehran and then completed a master's degree in artificial intelligence at Ivanki University in Iran. Jangravi worked as an IT director and public relations director at the Iranian Institute for Women's Studies and Research. She is one of the “Revolution Street” women arrested for protesting against Iran’s laws requiring women to wear a hijab in public. She fled Iran with her daughter and now lives and studies in Canada.
