Professor Matthew J. Goodwin is professor of political science at Rutherford College, University of Kent, and Senior Visiting Fellow at Chatham House. He is the co-author of Brexit: Why Britain Voted to Leave the European Union (Cambridge University Press, 2017), and also National Populism: The Revolt Against Liberal Democracy (forthcoming with Penguin in late 2018).
