Susan Korah / @waterlilypool

Susan Korah is an award-winning freelance journalist based in Ottawa. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Carleton University, where she wrote a thesis on creating gender equity in Canadian newsrooms. She writes on international relations and has a special interest in the Middle East and East Asia and focuses on human rights and freedom of expression. She is on the Board of Directors of World Press Freedom Canada, a member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery of Canada and winner of the King Charles Coronation Medal 2025 for human rights journalism.
