Samira Sayed-Rahman is a graduate of the M.A. program in International Relations at McMaster University, with her research focusing on Pashtun resistance to the Afghan-Pakistani border. Beyond academia, she has a diverse background in social justice, working on various campaigns in Canada and the United States surrounding issues of race, poverty, war, and inequality. Through her academic and activism work, Samira has spoken at conferences across North America and Central/South Asia on matters ranging from American Foreign Policy in Afghanistan to the criminalization of youth in Canada.
