Robert Muggah is the co-founder of the Igarapé Institute in Rio de Janeiro and the SecDev Group in Ottawa. He is also research director of the SecDev Foundation, and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Council on the Future of Cities and an adviser to the annuaGlobal Risk Report. In addition to advising groups like the United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank and McKinsey's, he is faculty at Singularity University and a fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He received his PhD from the University of Oxford.
