Paul Evans is Professor of Asian and trans-Pacific international relations at the University of British Columbia. A former director of the Institute of Asian Research and CEO Emeritus of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, his most recent book is Engaging China: Myth, Aspiration and Strategy in Canadian Policy from Trudeau to Harper published last month by the University of Toronto Press as the led volume in its new Insight series.
