Nathan Jones is an assistant professor of security studies at Sam Houston State University. He is also a non-resident scholar in drug policy and Mexico studies at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy. His research focuses mostly on drug violence in Mexico. Jones has published with numerous think tanks, including the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and InSight Crime.
