Melissa Tessler is a Toronto-based lawyer with expertise in international human rights and international criminal law as well as civil litigation. She has worked with judges at both the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials to assist in the evaluation and investigation of crimes against humanity, genocide and war crimes. Melissa is also a 2017 graduate of the Fellowship in Global Journalism at the Munk School of Global Affairs and an active member of the Colombia monitoring group for Lawyers’ Rights Watch Canada.
