Jeff Kucharski is a former Assistant Deputy Minister with the Alberta Department of Energy and until 2012 was responsible for Alberta’s international energy policy, intergovernmental relations and energy strategy. He has lived and worked in Asia several times over the course of his career, including positions with Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and as Alberta’s chief trade representative in Japan. He is currently at Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Energy Science in Kyoto, Japan.
