Gissou Nia is the Executive Director of the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC). She has interviewed 200+ survivors of human rights abuses perpetrated by the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and produced comprehensive reports documenting these abuses, with a particular focus on the rights of women and ethnic minorities. Prior to her tenure at IHRDC, Ms. Nia worked on war crimes and crimes against humanity trials at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Court. She is a frequent lecturer on human rights developments in Iran.
