Domenico Lombardi is director of the Global Economy Program and a member of the Executive Management Committee at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). He also serves on the advisory boards of the Peterson Institute for International Economics and the Bretton Woods Committee in Washington, and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Asian Economic Panel.

Domenico is a regular speaker in high-level international fora, including the G20 and the governing bodies of multilateral organizations. He has served as rapporteur for the High-Level Panel on the Governance of the Financial Stability Board; has been appointed by the World Bank Group’s Board of Directors as External Reviewer to conduct the first independent review of the Group’s 5 Oversight and Accountability Vice-Presidencies; and has authored the report to the IMF Managing Director on IMF governance reform (“Fourth Pillar Report”).

Before joining CIGI, Domenico was a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington. Prior to that, his distinguished career includes positions on the executive boards of major international financial institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
