David Black is the Director of Dalhousie's Centre for Foreign Policy Studies. His current research interests focus on Canada’s role in Sub-Saharan Africa, with emphases on human security, development assistance, multilateral diplomacy and extractive industry investment, and on the politics of sport mega-events. He has also published on human rights in Canadian and South African foreign policies, on the role of post-apartheid South Africa in Africa, and on Sport and World Politics.
