Benoit Hardy-Chartrand is a research associate for the Global Security & Politics Program at the Centre for International Governance Innovation. Prior to joining CIGI, Benoit was an associate researcher at the Raoul-Dandurand Chair of Strategic and Diplomatic Studies and a junior fellow at United Nations University (UNU) in Tokyo, in addition to conducting research at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). He has also worked as a research intern at UNU’s Institute for Sustainability and Peace and the Cambodian Human Rights and Development Association. Benoit has a B.A. in Political Science from Université de Montréal, and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Université du Québec à Montréal. He also studied international relations at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
