Andreas Sandre

Andreas Sandre is a Press and Public Affairs Officer at the Embassy of Italy in Washington D.C., where he works mostly on digital diplomacy, and the use of social media tools in public diplomacy and foreign policy. Before moving to the Nation Capital, he worked in New York at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations during a fascinating time for Italy as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council (2007-2008). A trained journalist and communications specialist, Andreas is the author of “Heroes of the United Nations: men and women who made the world a better place” (2011) and the editor of the “United Nations Media Handbook” (2008-2010).
